Children's Parliament 2012
A Children's Parliament will be held on Friday, 8 June 2012, at 09h00 in the Raymond Mhlaba Chamber of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature.

The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature, in partnership with the Department of Social Development and Special Programmes, will be holding a Children's Parliament.
Date: Friday, 8 June 2012
Venue: Raymond Mhlaba Chamber, Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature, Bhisho
A total of 500 children from all over the province will attend the event. The children who will be participating will be representing their districts; each district has been given a particular topic which will be presented by the children.
The topics are:
- Nelson Mandela Metro - child abuse
- Cacadu District - Access to basic quality education
- Joe Gqabi District - substance abuse
- Chris Hani District - orphans
- OR Tambo District - child headed households
- Alfred Nzo district - child abduction
- Amathole district - Child trafficking and prostitution
