The Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature has ensured that the following public participation events serve as platforms for the public to air their views or problems, to interact directly with their public representatives and to discuss issues of public importance and possible solutions:

• YOUTH PARLIAMENT
• WOMEN’S PARLIAMENT
• TAKING THE LEGISLATURE TO THE PEOPLE
• PARLIAMENT FOR DISABLED PEOPLE
• ChILDREN'S PARLIAMENT

The Legislature is sensitive to the needs of the hard-of-hearing/deaf community. Sign language interpreters are provided at these public participation events. Braille and audio-tapes are also distributed at events. The Legislature is also currently being revamped to create an accessible environment for disabled people.
